Each year, Boston is required to submit an Action Plan indicating how the City plans to use the funds it will receive from HUD to address the priority needs identified in the Consolidated Plan. The Action Plan constitutes the City’s application to HUD for its Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), HOME Investment Partnerships Initiative (HOME), Housing Opportunities for Persons With AIDS (HOPWA) and Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) funding allocations.
The City of Boston invites comments on the Draft Action Plan for the upcoming Program Year, covering the period from July 1, 2015 through June 30, 2016. The Action Plan provides a summary of how the funds the City receives from HUD will be used for housing and community development programs.
This 30-day comment period ends May 12, 2015.
A hearing will be held tomorrow, Tuesday, April 28th from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at 26 Court Street, Winter Chambers, where the community can share their thoughts and feedback on the Action Plan.
If you are not able to attend the hearing on April 28th, they are accepting written comments until the deadline of May 12, 2015. Please send your comments to: email@example.com
The mission of the Department of Neighborhood Development is to make Boston the most livable city in the nation, and your input is CRUCIAL to making this possible.
