The mark-up of the Johnson-Crapo housing finance reform bill, originally scheduled for April 29, has been postponed until next week. Several members of the Senate Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs have not yet agreed to support the bill. Their support is crucial to the future of the bill, and to the future of the National Housing Trust Fund.
Senators Reed, Schumer, Menendez, Brown, Merkley, and Warren are all ardent supporters of the NHTF. They are pleased with the treatment of the NHTF in the Johnson-Crapo bill, but have a variety of other concerns that have not yet been resolved to their satisfaction.

It is crucial that these six Senators find a way to support the bill. This moment is too important to let slip by. Tell your Senator to stay at the table!
