On April 11, 2012, the Massachusetts House of Representatives, under the Leadership of Chairman Brian Dempsey, released their FY13 budget proposal. Any amendments must be filed by Friday, April 13th, so the rush is on!
Housing and homelessness received a considerable increase when compared to other state programs and agencies, although it still insufficient to truly counter the affordable housing crisis and numbers of families facing homelessness.
Aside from the funding levels, there is much concern, fear and work to be done regarding the homelessness and housing line items. Please stay tuned for amendment information.
