Department of Children and Families Resources and Contacts

In February the Department of Housing and Community Development hosted a small meeting with representatives from the Department of Children and Families and a small group of family shelter providers from across the state.

DCF suggested that shelter programs utilize the DCF hierarchy and regional offices if there are ever issues in care and protection issues or service coordination.  In addition, there are DCF resources, such as Family Resource Centers and Young Parent Programs that may be useful.

Click here to access the program contact information and please feel free to submit comments regarding positive partnerships with DCF/their entities, or suggestions on how the shelter system and DCF systems can increase coordination to best support families overcoming homelessness and working to assure the care and safety of their children.
