In August 2011, changes to the family shelter system were implemented including a focus on placing young parents in shelter. This community meeting will feature a discussion led by St. Mary’s Women and Children Center that will focus on working and engaging young parents ages 18-21 and older teenagers. This discussion will most likely include practice issues, best practices, and strategies for working together with young parents. Mass Teen Pregnancy Alliance will also join us to discuss policy issues. Homeless and formerly homeless parents are encouraged to attend.
