As everyone knows, central and western parts of Massachusetts had very severe weather and 2 tornadoes touch down last night. Unfortunately 4 people lost their lives and over 200 people were injured according to reports. Fortunately, none of these folks were homeless families. According to what we know, no congregate family shelters were damaged, but we have heard of a handful of cases where families in scattered sites, flex fund or permanent housing were forced to seek emergency shelter (not EA) due to structural damage to their homes. None of these families though have experienced significant injuries as far as we know. At this point, we dont know much about families placed in motels.
Please let us know of any updates.
