The Governor’s Proposed Changes to Family Shelter
Last week the Governor recommended big changes to the state’s Emergency Assistance family shelter system, including the creation of a 3-year housing subsidy. These changes would dramatically alter how homeless families are served in Massachusetts. Because this is only a proposal subject to approval by the legislature, we still have time to help shape the process. Please join us to learn about the proposal and give your opinions about what is good and what needs to change.
