Status of RAFT Money

Thanks to Kelly from the Mass Coalition for the homeless we have a little info about RAFT. She said in an email “the current $260,000 appropriation is being distributed equally among three agencies: SMOC, Franklin County Regional Housing, and Berkshire¬†Housing Development Corp[, equaling for $86,666 each of the three] . DHCD said that the regional nonprofits decided that those were the areas most in need of funds. Money isn’t being distributed yet, but SMOC and Berkshire Co. have executed contracts and should be up and running in the next two weeks.

Hopefully, there will be more RAFT money later in the year if the Legislature puts back the FMAP Contingency Fund amount of $740,000.”

Let us know if you have any more info.
