Cuts to TAFDC Reversed!

Good News! The Governor reversed proposed cuts to the Department of Transitional Assistance’s Transitional Aid to Families with Dependent Children (TAFDC) program that had been part of his solution to closing an estimated $600 million revenue shortfall in the current fiscal year. Governor Patrick will restore $14 million to the program.

Nevertheless, the Statehouse event scheduled for Wed. January 12 will still take place with a focus on thanking the governor and the legislature and advocating for TAFDC in FY2011. High attendence at the event is still needed. To find out more about the event click here.

  1. I am thankful that 2010 is bringing some hope to many families that are in need out there our children are always first and I am grateful 2010 is making a turn around for these children that has no where to go and hardly no food to eat but barely trying to make end meats….Therefore I wish 2010 as endure the kindness that one human being can enstore within and transform it to a beautiful amicable way of charing with those that had lost hope, but yet there are a few that has a good heart and want to strive to a better tomorrow….
