The Franklin Square House Foundation is accepting grant proposals for its 2010 housing round. The foundation, started in 2008, provides bricks and mortar grants to projects that support women and women and their children as well as capital improvement grants for economically and racially integrated childcare centers. Since becoming a foundation Franklin Square has made 56 grants to 42 different organizations totaling slightly more than 3.5 million dollars.
The current funding round applications are due January 19 2012. Information regarding the Foundation’s mission, grant applications, guidelines and previous grant awards are available on the website www.franklinsquarehousefoundation.org. Potential grantees are required to contact Robert Goldstein the Foundation’s Executive Director prior to submitting a proposal. No proposals will be accepted without doing so.
